Audi joins the hybrid race

Audi has announced the release of their small sporty hybrid, the A1. Priced at around $28,000 USD, it’ll be ready to roll by 2010. Also in the works is the Audi Q1, an electric-hybrid SUV.
The A1 debuts this fall at the Tokyo Auto Show.

Over the weekend, the Electric Auto Association celebrated it’s 40th anniversary. The love they have for the electric auto burns as brightly as it did 40 years ago, at the 35th annual Electric Car Show held in Palo Alto, CA.

Model Legislation

There is a sentiment growing that a special license or permit be established for drivers of these vehicles requiring some proof that a large, gas guzzling, air polluting vehicle is really necessary for you to live your life day-to-day. Similar, I suppose, to a handicap parking permit.
