Electric to go 45 mph & 120 miles per charge

by Hilary on January 23rd, 2008

Looking for a low-speed electric that goes up to 120 miles on a single charge? Electrovaya, the company which developed the SuperPolymer® lithium ion battery technology used in other plug-in hybrids and zero emissions vehicles, said today they will produce their own EV.

The 2-seater Maya-300 will go 25 to 45 mph (depending on regulations for low-speed vehicles in the sale region) and last for 120 miles per charge. The vehicle is easily recharged through the use of a standard 110V outlet.

The company has mentioned several times the Maya-300 will be affordable, but have yet to state how affordable it will be.
