More Green Rebates for Canadian Drivers
Eleven new models join the list of cars eligible for Canada’s ecoAuto Rebate Program, topping out at 38 autos! The full list can be found at Transport Canada’s website, along with applications for claiming the rebate. Rewards are also up for some models, like the Toyota Highlander Hybrid. The list goes beyond hybrid vehicles to embrace small-size, fuel efficient gas models, and flex fuel vehicles.
The rebate is good on 2006-2008 models purchased in Canada that have not been previously registered. However, it is good for car purchases or leases. Unfortunately, the program only cars purchased or leased on March 20, 2007.
Alternatively, PEI, Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, and British Columbia have their own rebate programs for eco-friendly drivers that may be taken along with the federal program.
