Eco Friendly Driver

Review Green Products @ Huddler

by Hilary on March 27th, 2008

Consumer experts keep talking about the spread of environmentally-friendly products, or products you’re supposed to think are better for the environment, flooding the market. It really can be hard to tell whether they’ll work as well or not. I know a lot of people think if it isn’t caustic, if it isn’t toxic or bad for people, plants and other living things, that it isn’t capable of breaking up dirt. Just as obnoxious is the idea that if something is “organic” or “natural” it cannot be harmful.

Natural ≠ Safe. Likewise, hybrid ≠ eco-friendly. We’re reaching a point where it is going to be harder and harder for consumers to know whether that hybrid is really an environmental benefit or if it was designed solely to boost fuel efficiency (or just to promote sales by using the latest technology).

Now there might be help. Over at Why Not Lime? they’re talking about greener products, and the elimination of non-green ones (in particular, disposable plastics), and a site where you can research or review your favorites. Huddler.com has a hub just for green goods - including cars - where owners can leave their first-hand experiences.
