Larger than the Hyundai Accent, and not much more expensive, the Hyundai Elantra provides a good option for families who need a car that’s a little larger, or has more features (like cruise control) and it offers better safety ratings.

Fuel-efficiency is best (27 mpg city/32 mpg highway) with a stick, but automatic (24 mpg city/ 33 mpg highway) for roughly $1000 more per model.

I can’t honestly say I’m going to be talking about Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles every Friday. I just though it was a catchy title. I do want to review them with you though because they’re a simple option for people who want the low emissions of an electric car without the (current) distance limitations.
